Associate Director of IA for One to One Interactive (Boston)
One to One Interactive is looking for a dynamic individual to lead and evolve our Information Architecture group in Boston as we expand our presence in the U.S. and around the world. The ideal candidate has a strong ability to work with creative and technical teams to develop and deliver interfaces and solutions across all digital channels that meet clients’ business objectives and accommodate the needs of their audiences. The Associate Director should also be prepared to leverage his or her own extensive experience to mentor colleagues, to drive high client satisfaction and to support the pursuit of new business.
Responsibilities:
• Lead client user experience engagements from start to finish with regard to research and information architecture including client interviews, user research, content assessment/analysis, requirements development, personas, site maps, wireframes, user journeys, prototyping, user testing, usability testing and cross-channel user experience development
• Develop balanced solutions that consider clients’ goals while addressing the needs of their audience(s) to drive measurable results
• Create quality documentation and presentations to support recommendations and findings
• Mentor and manage other members of the local IA team to help them develop and deliver compelling and successful solutions for clients
• Build client relationships to become a trusted advisor based on your understanding of their business
• Play a role in new business development from strategy development to pitch presentations
• Oversee all IA deliverables to insure adherence to best practices. Develop new processes and/or practices where needed
• Determine new offerings (or evolve existing ones) based on the changing marketplace or client demand
• Collaborate with account teams to appropriate staff and estimate projects
• As necessary, develop and manage third party vendors or contractors required to provide products or services to meet the departments delivery mandates
• Develop points of view related to information architecture and user experience across digital channels based on your background, industry trends and/or client engagements
• Work with One to One’s user research team to synchronize services and offerings
• Present IA and UI schemes to clients and client teams
Qualifications & Skills
• 8-10 years experience in information architecture demonstrated by a broad portfolio of client work
• Minimum of 4 years working in interactive media with knowledge of digital experiences, interactive applications, mobile, and social media
• Minimum of 2 years managing, building and motivating a team
• Minimum of 3 years of agency experience
• Experience working with technical teams and adapting to different technical platforms (i.e. CMS platforms, mobile, etc.).
• Familiar with agile development
• Familiarity with Morae and Axure a plus
• Proven business development expertise
• Proven leadership ability
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to command an audience
• Effective problem solver
• Bachelor degree required; advanced degree preferred but not required
