Join the GSA for the musical Wicked, “the untold story of the witches of Oz”, at the Boston Opera House in September!

Based on the book by Gregory McGuire, it features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas) and the book by Winnie Holtzman (My So-Called Life, thirtysomething, Once and Again). The musical won 3 Tony Awards and 6 Drama Desk Awards in 2004.

Volunteer Opportunity: The Fifth Annual West End Children’s Festival

The 5th Annual West End Children’s Festival will be held on Thoreau Path in the West End, on Saturday, August 21st, 2010, from 12 to 4 p.m. This year we will highlight the culturally rich West End neighborhood with workshops, food, arts & crafts, games, and performances from all around the world, all free of charge for our guests.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Friday Aug 20th (10 am to 6 pm)

10 volunteers are needed to help set up Arts & Craft Decoration along the carnival path (2 hour commitments)

Saturday Aug 21st:

In need of:

  • 15 volunteers to help setup up tables, chairs and decoration, from 7:30 am to 10 am.
  • 15 volunteers to work the registration/entry booth
    • First shift: 12pm to 2 pm
    • Second shift: 2pm to 4pm
  • 15 volunteers for breaking down: 4 pm to 6pm

  • T Green line (E) stop at Science Park (Museum of Sciences)
  • T Green line (C) and Orange line stop at North Station
