Come to talk with professionals on a one-to-one basis to conduct speed networking and get valuable feedback and advice. Professionals are from the area of Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Human Resource with rich networking experience and passion to help students!
Each student is given 10 minutes per round and then switch to another professional’s table for the second round. At least two rounds are guaranteed for each participant! Students could also ask for a quick resume critique during the conversation. The event helps students understand how to network more efficiently and effectively.
Also come to learn how to become an Ascend member and the benefit of Ascend members!
Food and drink will be served!
After much deliberation, and thanks to everyone’s help, the GSA has set a date and location for this year’s Ski Trip!
Whether this will be your first time skiing, or 100th trip, Loon Mountain will have plenty to offer. It has smaller friendly slopes to learn on as well as challenging double-black diamond runs for those looking to push their limits.

We’ll leave Bentley bright and early at 4:00AM so that we can be geared-up and ready to hit the slopes when the lifts open at 9:00AM. A bus will take us so we can catch up on much-needed sleep on the way. We’ll ski all day on Saturday, and those who are interested will take ski lessons, and then retire to hotel rooms at the base of the mountain. At the hotel we can enjoy the amenities of the Mountain Club Resort & Spa and take in the night life. The next morning, Sunday, we’ll hit the slopes again for a short day, retiring around 3:00PM so the bus has us back at Bentley by 7:00PM.
The cost of the trip will be approx. $175 per person, dependent upon the need for ski rentals and lessons. Attendees are responsible for their own food and incidentals.

The GSA Board is seeking candidates to run for GSA President and GSA Sr. Vice President for the 2012-2013 Academic Year.
Candidate Teams:
The GSA Constitution requires that the GSA President and Sr. Vice President be elected positions and that candidates for these two offices run united as a team. The Sr. VP, in addition to various position duties, assumes the Presidency should the President be unable to serve. This is a succession provision in the GSA Constitution to better ensure that whoever is serving as GSA President is elected by the student body. The other Board Positions are appointed, similar to the way the US President appoints a cabinet.
A call for applicants for the appointed Board positions will go out after the election for President and Sr. Vice President has been concluded.

You can join the board as they go through their Feb 24th weekly meeting and provide your feedback and suggestions. After the meeting you can seek out individual board members for any specific questions that you may have. We will leave Bentley at 5 PM on Saturday February 25th and head to Mashantucket, CT for an evening of gaming, clubbing, partying and fun. You will enjoy a free buffet, go shopping, visit the Spa, have a drink, have several drinks, dance the night away and so much more.
You may want to play the slot machine and win something amazing or you may just want to go for an evening of fun with your friends. Whatever you’re looking for, this trip is for you!
