Mentor Connection matches middle and high school students from the Newton community with adult volunteers to build meaningful, lasting relationships that support and encourage youth while helping them to identify and work towards achieving their goals.

As a mentor, you will have a profound impact on a young person’s life and on your community- and, you will be amazed by what you get in return.

Time commitments are flexible and average 1-2 hours per week. Training, supervision and skilled staff support are provided.

Come Friday October 8th from either 4-6 or 6-8PM to help prepare food for people who are homebound with acute and life threatening illnesses. No culinary experience needed, the kitchen staff will train you on anything you need to know while preparing the food.

To sign up, please use the sign up sheet in the GSA lounge on the bulletin board. Only 15 positions available for each shift, so sign up quick!!!

The GSA is hosting a welcome party for all graduate students. Take a break with us as classes begin and start the semester with a fun-filled night complete with free food, drinks, music and activities.

The party will include a BBQ dinner with salads, hot dogs, hamburgers, vegetarian options, and much more. Students get 2 free drinks! Once you’re done with dinner you can enjoy all of the planned activities. There will be volleyball and Frisbee (earlier in the evening) along with a caricaturist and tarot card/psychic readings.
